Stocky shut down on Aug 31, 2026

The Stocky alternative for your Shopify purchase order history

After the Stocky shutdown, years of supplier prices, freight and duties are stuck in a CSV export, and Shopify can't import historical purchase orders. StockBook Pro's free Google Sheet turns your Stocky export into a dated cost history for every SKU, with landed cost, cost per item and a flag on every supplier price change.

A Google Sheet with no add-ons or scripts. Export your Stocky purchase orders before the read-only window closes (Shopify says at least 90 days after Aug 31, 2026), make a copy, paste it in, and you're done in about 10 minutes.

Copy the free Google Sheet

Opens Google's "Make a copy" screen. The copy goes into your own Google Drive; we never see your data.

Also included: an inventory adjustments log. Paste Shopify's adjustment report (its per-product history only goes back 180 days) and get units and dollars written off per year by reason (damaged, theft or loss, donation, promotion, correction) for your accountant.

Sample data. The mug's supplier price didn't change, but freight did, so its real cost went up 4.4%.

FAQ: Stocky purchase order history, landed cost and COGS

What's the best Stocky alternative for purchase order history?

It depends on the job. For day-to-day purchase orders, receiving, stock counts and reorder forecasting, use the Shopify admin, Shopify POS or a dedicated inventory app. For your Stocky purchase order history (what you paid each supplier, when, and your landed cost per SKU), StockBook Pro's free Google Sheet turns a Stocky export into a searchable cost history.

How do I export my Stocky purchase orders before the read-only window closes?

Shopify says Stocky stays read-only for at least 90 days after the Aug 31, 2026 shutdown, and old purchase orders don't move into Shopify automatically. Use Stocky's built-in reports to export your purchase orders as CSV files, at line-item level if you can (one row per product on each PO), and save them somewhere safe. Supplier records can't be exported, so note supplier details separately.

Can I import historical purchase orders into Shopify?

No. Shopify's Help Center says historical purchase orders can't be imported, and its purchase order CSV upload only adds line items to a new draft PO. StockBook Pro keeps your past PO costs, suppliers and dates in a cost history instead.

Which Stocky export does the sheet need?

Any purchase order export with one row per product line: PO number, SKU, quantity, unit cost and a date. Stocky CSV reports and exports from migration tools both work. The column map handles different header names.

How is landed cost calculated?

Line-level exports usually don't include shipping, duties or fees, so you enter each PO's freight, duties and fees once. The sheet spreads them across that PO's lines by value or by quantity, which gives each SKU a landed cost per unit.

Can it update cost per item (COGS) in Shopify?

It gives you a SKU and 'Cost per item' list, plus steps to bring those costs into Shopify with a product CSV import, so your profit and COGS reports use real landed costs. The upcoming StockBook Pro app will do this automatically.

Is StockBook Pro a full Stocky replacement?

No, and it doesn't try to be. Purchase orders, stocktakes, low stock alerts, forecasting and POS inventory now run in the Shopify admin, Shopify POS or another inventory app. StockBook Pro does one job: it rescues your Stocky purchase order cost history and tracks supplier price changes.

Can it keep a year-end record of inventory write-offs?

Yes. The sheet has a small Adjustments Log tab. Shopify's adjustment history on each product page only shows the last 180 days, so export the store-wide Inventory adjustment changes report regularly and paste it in. The sheet values each adjustment at your recorded cost and totals units and dollars per year by reason.

Is the sheet really free?

Yes. It's a free Google Sheet you copy into your own Google account, and your data stays in your own Drive. There are no add-ons or scripts.

Is StockBook Pro made by Shopify?

No. StockBook Pro is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify. Stocky is a trademark of Shopify Inc.
